Winning Waves Slots is a very basic design that has been done many a time. There really isn't anything all that special about that machine and no one feature really makes this slot stand out among the rest. The designers basically applied the same old template to a new theme. They did do some things right though but I general I felt like I was left want more. The first thing I noticed about this machine were the symbols. I initially thought that the designers had added just the right amount of symbols but that was before noticing the additional useless symbols they decided to add onto the reels. These symbols got very annoying because they showed up repeatedly but had no winning value. The visual graphics on this machine were pretty solid and I also really appreciated the fact that they were good enough to ensure that there were no glitches in to game play or additional loading screens once things were underway. The sounds were pretty generic on this machine and I really didn't think they contributed to the overall game play in any significant manner.

The betting options were actually pretty impressive on a machine that was so simple. The betting range was absolutely superb as players could spin the reels for as little as a dime or for as much as fifty dollars. This really is a very large range for a machine this simple and should meet the needs of almost every player. There was only one pay line available for players to bet on which would have been great had the designers not decided to include a bunch of seemingly frivolous symbols to the reels. With the addition of these symbols one pay line just wasn't enough to raise the winning percentages to acceptable levels. I did like the fact that players could bet up to five coins on any given spin though as this really gave them a lot more flexibility as to how much money they had to spend.

Overall, I wasn't too impressed with this machine. They did do enough things right to make it an interesting play for the first few minutes but after that things got pretty repetitive and boring. The game really could have benefited from the addition of at least one additional feature such as a wild symbol. This would have kept things very simple but would have added a lot of excitement and made the game much more engaging.
