Whiskey Barrels Slots is a very basic and simple concept for a three reel slots machine. The designers really didn't try to overdo things with a ton of bonus features and special symbols. Rather they decided to just play to what is the essence of a slots machine and hoped that this would be enough to get players interested. Unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for me and I felt like this slots machine left me wanting more. The first thing I noticed about this slots machine were the symbols. I really like the fact that all the symbols were theme oriented, which made the game more engaging, but I wish that the designers wouldn't have included symbols on the reels that had no winning value. This really proved to be annoying and frustrating and is something that vegas technology software does all too often. The graphics on this machine were good only in the sense that they prevented any glitches in the game play and there weren't any additional loading screens once things were underway. The sound effects, in my opinion, did no contribute to the overall game play in any significant manner so I made quick use of the mute button.

The betting options offered on Whiskey Barrels Slots were nothing spectacular but I thought that they got the job done. There was only one pay line available for players to bet on. This would have been sufficient if it weren't for the additional symbols added onto the reels that had no bearing on you winnings. These symbols really drug the winning percentages down to unacceptable levels in my view. The betting range will prove sufficient for most players and the reels could be spun for as little as dime or for as much as thirty dollars. There was also the option to bet up to three coins on any given spin which is sufficient to offer reasonable flexibility to players as to how much money they want to spend.

Overall, I just wasn't overly impressed by this machine. The designers did a lot of little things pretty well but I think they missed on the things that really make a slots machine enjoyable. The game was just yearning for some additional feature to entice players to play for extended periods of time or to come back for repeat players. I really wouldn't recommend this machine to anyone as I think you time and money could be spend on machines that were executed much better.
