Island Hoppers Slots is your basic three reel slots machine. Players shouldn't be expecting to be blown away by any new or innovative features on this machine. The designers just really tried to play to the classic feel and excitement that the essence of a slots machine can offer. I though that they did a good job in creating what they were trying to create but, for me, it really didn't get the job done. I need at least a few special features to keep me interested in a slots machine for long periods of time. The first thing I noticed about this machine were the symbols. I really thought that the slot could have benefited for the addition of more symbols. There were only four different types of symbols available on this machine which led to game that got repetitive and monotonous very quickly. I did like the fact that many of the symbols were theme oriented as this helped make the game more engaging. The graphics were good only in the sense that I never ran into any type of glitch in the game play or additional loading screen was the game was underway. The sound effects were very bland and I made quick use of the mute button as I didn't feel they added to the gameplay in any positive manner.

The betting options offered on Island Hoppers Slots were nothing spectacular but they were good enough to ensure that the game was accessible to most average players. The betting range was pretty well done for how simple a machine this was and players could spin the reels for as little as a dime or for as much as thirty dollars. This is sure to meet the needs of most players. I do wish that they would have made the minimum bet a penny though as sometimes I like to play slots but don't have the money to do so and penny slots are my only option. There was only one pay line available for players to bet on. This can sometimes be a problem as it offers winning percentages that are too low but I thought that it worked on this machine because there were so few symbols being used.

Overall, I thought this was a pretty solid slots machine but nothing all that great. The designers successfully created a very simple slots machine, which was there goal, but this simplicity means that players won't be engaged for very long periods of time. For what it is, this is a good slots machine but I think that most players will be left wanting more. I would only recommend this machine to those players who are looking for the simplest of playing experiences.
