Bluebeard's Bounty Slots is as about as basic as slot machines come. The designers decided not to add anything in the form of bonus features or special symbols. They instead decided to just offer up a basic layout on the hopes that the essential concept of a slots machine would be enough to entice players to play. I personally am not a huge fan of slots this simple as I feel they get a little boring after only a short time of playing. The first thing I noticed about this machine were the symbols. I thought they were pretty well done and I liked the fact that there were a lot of them included. This did serve to help prevent things from getting repetitive and monotonous too quickly which happens often on three reel machines. I also liked the fact that all the symbols were theme oriented which really helped make the game more engaging and thusly more exciting. The graphics were good only in the sense that I never ran into any type of playing glitch or additional loading screen once the game was underway. The sounds were pretty generic and I didn't really feel like they added to the overall game play in any meaningful way.

Though the betting options were very simple on this machine I did think they were executed well enough to serve their purpose. The betting range was serviceable and the reels could be spun for as little as a dime or for as much as thirty dollars. This should been good enough to meet the needs of most players. There was only one pay line upon which players could bet on which I wasn't too crazy about. I thought the game could have benefited from more pay lines since there were so many symbols being used. This would have really increased the overall winning percentages and made the game more engaging.

Overall, I though this slots machine was average at best. The designers just didn't provide any kind of reason for me to get excited about playing this slots machine. I got bored with playing after only about five minutes which is a really bad sign. I think the designers would have been wise to have added at least one bonus feature for players to root for and to get excited about. Without this I think they game just didn't get it done.
