This is the second installment of the Reel Crime series offered by Rival Gaming. I was pleased to find though that it almost a completely independent design and concept form the first installment of the series. This version offers many more bonus games and special features and really led to, in my opinion, a more exciting game overall. I really enjoyed playing it and unlocking all the different features. This game comes with two bonus games, a wild symbol and five different scatter symbols. So you must be thinking, man there's got to be a ton of symbols in this game and there in fact are a ton of symbols. This isn't really a good thing either. It took me a really long time to remember what all the scatter symbols were and which ones activated bonus games and didn't. This had the effect of given this game a really long learning curve but I think it was worth learning because the features were really well done and once you get the hang of everything the game because much more exciting and engaging. The graphics were excellent on this machine and after you get through the two minute initial loading screen everything runs smoothly and there are no more prolonged loading screens or glitches. The background music was very edgy and fit the theme nicely but I thought it got rather annoying after prolong play. The betting jobs were just as good as the first version and players could spin the reel for as little as a penny or for as much as 37.50.

The wild symbol on Reel Crime 2: Art Heist Slots was a picture of "the forger". This symbol appeared on every reel and could be used to replace any symbol in the game other than the various scatter symbols. I really liked this symbol because whenever it was used as part of a winning combination the prize awarded was automatically doubled. It was also very effective because, unlike some of the other symbols, really stuck out on the board and could be easily identified. This had the effect of making it easier to root for this symbol and made the game more exciting.

There were three normal scatter symbols offered on this machine that simply awarded a cash prize. The symbols are pictures of three different paintings whose names I am not completely aware of. Basically, whenever three or more of the symbols were present a prize was automatically awarded. You couldn't mix and match though; you had to have three of the same symbol. The reel purpose of this machine, I believe, was to unlock the next scene in the progression of art robbery scenes. The next scene was unlocked whenever four of more of any of these symbols appeared together. This seems like a pretty challenging task but since there are three of them it really isn't all that unobtainable. The one thing I really didn't like about these symbols though was that they were hard to pick out of the crowd of symbols, even though they didn't have a white border like the normal symbols.

Reel Crime 2: Art Heist Slots Bonus Game

The bonus game offered on this machine was activated whenever three or more "Reel Crime: Art Heist" symbols appeared anywhere on the screen together. When this happened players were taken to a different screen and told to find one four paintings. You got one choice and had to pick among about twenty different boxes to find one of the four paintings. I found the painting every time, luckily I suppose, and walked away with some very large prizes. I liked this bonus game because it related to the theme very nicely and it wasn't impossible to obtain. I liked the symbol used to because it really stood out from the rest of the symbols and was easy to spot.

Overall, this is a really exciting and innovative slots machine that I really enjoyed playing. This along with the other Reel Crime slots machine will be among the slots that I visit and play regularly. This just so many new and interesting things going on to keep me interested and coming back for more. I would recommend this to any player who like the first reel crime slots machine, that really likes special features, and doesn't mind taking the time to getting accustomed to a large variety of new symbols.
