Metal Detector Slots is a solid slots machine that is unique because it offers two different bonus games. Players are lucky to get one bonus game on most slot machines and the fact that there are two on this machine really made it unique and fun. The designers also managed to keep this a user-friendly machine as well. This was due in large part, in my opinion, to the symbols. They were all very different from one another and I never got them confused or had any trouble picking out the important symbols. They included regular playing car symbols, nine though ace, and an assortment of underground treasures that included, among others, a rusty gun, a watch, and a diamond ring. There was also a very wide range of betting options. Players could choose to bet on up to 15 lines at a maximum bet of 75 dollars per spin or they could spin the reels for as little as a penny. I liked this because I start playing machines each day with a different amount to spend so I need machines that are still an option to play no matter what my bank roll. The sounds on this machine were below par and I really didn't notice them at all once I got into the game. The graphics were very well done though and they really improved the game play by assuring that everything ran smoothly.

The first bonus game is triggered by the detector dude scatter symbol. Basically, whenever three or more of these symbols appear on the screen anywhere together players are taken to a different screen and the dig bonus round is begun. During this bonus round players are told to move the detector dude to a point on the map where the detector goes off and then dig for a prize. I thought this was a pretty original idea and the prizes awarded, at least the one awarded to me, where fairly large. It was also a rather easy bonus game to activate which had the effect of making the entire game more exciting.

The second bonus game offered in Metal Detector Slots was activated whenever three or more map symbols appear anywhere on the screen together. When this happened players were taken to a different screen and the treasure map bonus round was activated. During the bonus game players are first told to choose a spot to dig. The spot chosen will dictate how many free spins are awarded. Next, players are told to choose which site to dig. This dictates the prize multiplier that will be used for the free spins. I thought that this was a very nice bonus game and if you chose wisely it could really lead to some huge winnings. It was also a good bonus game for the same reason as the first one because it was pretty easy to obtain.

Overall, I thought that this was a pretty solid slots machine that did a nice job with both of its bonus games. It didn't offer a wild symbol and I initially thought that this was a going to be a problem for me. In fact, though, it was not because they pulled off the other bonus features so well. I really appreciate machines like this that don't try to overdo things and just offer a few bonus features and execute them very well.
