Five Reel Circus Slots is a fairly complex but very fun and exciting slots machine. The first thing I noticed about this machine were the symbols. There were a lot of them but the designers to time to include a few features that would ensure that things wouldn't get too confusing. The first is that they clearly identified the special symbols. The wild symbol said wild on it and the scatter symbols said scatter on it. This is something that more machines with a lot of symbol should consider doing. Some of the symbol designs were also pretty well done and I particularly liked the she-man symbol myself. I wasn't too hot on the betting range on this machine. For a fifteen line reel a max bet of 18.75 really isn't all that great. It did do a good job of providing compensation for the lower end players by allow players to spin the reel for as little as a single penny. The graphics weren't as good as they are on some of the other Rival Gaming slots but they were still very serviceable and I never experienced any glitches or anything else of that nature. The sounds were very average on this machine and I didn't really feel like the added to the game play in any meaningful way.

The wild symbol on Five Reel Circus Slots was the picture of a tiger with the word wild printed over it. This symbol was available on all the reels and could be used to substitute for any symbol in the game other than the scatter symbol. I liked this symbol because it was very easy to identify with the word wild on it. Without this it could have been very hard to identify given all the other symbols in the game. I thought they could have added a prize multiplier though to really make this a symbol worth rooting for.

A picture of circus tent with the word scatter above it served as the scatter symbol on Five Reel Circus Slots. Basically, a prize was awarded whenever two or more of these symbols appeared anywhere on the screen together. The real fun started when three or more of these symbols appeared on the screen. When this happened ten free games were automatically awarded. During the free games all prizes awarded were tripled. I really liked this scatter symbol because it was actually pretty easy to obtain and by tripling the prizes it could really lead to some huge winnings.

Overall, this is a very solid slots machine. I liked the fact that the designers managed to strike a balance between fun features and simplicity. This is a very hard thing to do on an advanced slot machine but I thought they did a very admirable job. I would recommend this machine to anyone who isn't looking to spend a lot of money, because you really can't, and anyone who is looking for a fun more complex slots machine.
