As The Reels Turn 2 Slots is the second installment of the As The Reels Turn trilogy. At first I thought that all the same old characters were going to be playing the leading role on this machine but I was wrong. A new slew of younger and hungrier actors have come in to steal the show. Even good ole' Tommy Wong is gone, which saddened me deeply. But, just in case you're not hip to these machines I feel it's necessary to go over the basics again. The first thing a player will notice about this machine, and probably really like, is the fact that there are a lot of special symbols and two different bonus games offered. When I first started playing this type of slots machine I was a little overwhelmed and thought that it would really take a while to get used to all the different features available, but this wasn't the case. Though there's a lot going on, things really weren't all that confusing. I don't really have an explanation for this but I just felt like it was really easy to pick up on everything. The available betting option on this machine were a little less than the ones offered on the first version. Players could still spin the reel for as little as a penny but the max bet allowed now was only 37.50. Luckily, or unluckily I guess, I don't really have to worry about this because I think I'm a long way from ever placing a 37 dollar bet on any one spin. Maybe for my birthday. I didn't really touch on the graphics or sound effects when talking about this first slot machine. The graphics are really great on this machine and this is evident during the cut away scenes during which the story is developed. The sounds weren't all that great on the machine itself but the dialogue was pretty cool and some of the parts were actually kind of funny.

The first scatter symbol offered on this slots machine was a picture of Ivan the fish. Basically, whenever three or more of these little guys appeared anywhere on the screen together, ten free games were automatically awarded. During these free games all prizes awarded were automatically tripled. This was one of a slew of great features but I really liked this one because the symbol itself was awesome, it was fairly easy to obtain, and by tripling the prizes you could really win a lot of money with this feature.

The second scatter symbol offered on this machine was very strait forward and simple. It simple allowed for the next scene in the soap opera to be unlocked. This symbol was simply an icon that said "advance to the next screen". Like I said, simple. To unlock the next scene a player simply had to obtain three of these symbols anywhere on the screen at once.

The first bonus game offered in As The Reels Turn 2 Slots was called the Find Danny Bonus Round. This bonus game was unlocked whenever three or more Danny icons were obtained anywhere on the screen together. During the bonus game players were taken to a casino room and told to pick the places where they thought Danny was hiding so rex could find him. Every time you found him a prize was awarded. The bonus game ended whenever you clicked on a place and found Jamie, because Rex didn't want her to know he was looking for Danny. I thought this was a pretty cool bonus game and I went something like 12 picks before picking Jaime, so needless to say I won a pretty large prize. This was also a pretty easy to obtain bonus game and Danny sticks out in a crowd, this is also good because your looking for the guy right?

The second bonus game offered on this machine was known as the Counterfeit Chip Bonus Round. This bonus game was activated whenever three or more bonus icons were obtained. They do stick out very nicely on the reels. You really can't miss them. During this bonus game players simply picked chips until they hit a "stop" chip. This ended the bonus game and all the prizes you had collected up until that point were awarded. I thought that this was very solid bonus game and if you went on a lucky streak you could really walk away with a lot of money.

Overall, I thought this machine was a little better than the first installment. This was because I felt like the bonus game that was different from the first version was just a little more fun. If you plan on spending a lot of money though you might want to try the first machine because its maximum bet is almost twice what was offered on this machine. I would recommend this machine to anyone who likes scatter symbols or who enjoyed the first installment of As The Reels Turn.
