This is probably one of the most complex and original slot machines I have ever encountered and that I would imagine has ever been created. The basic outline is that the game is played to unlock scenes in an episode of As The Reels Turn a farce on the horrible day-time soap operas. There are seven scenes and there is a scatter symbol designated to unlock the next scene in the progression. In the meantime though, there are a ton of bonus games. I mean, seriously, there are a ton of bonus games. On the first scene alone there are two different bonus games and four different scatter symbols. We'll get to those momentarily but first I think its necessary to get some of the basic aspects of the slot out of the way. The first thing I noticed about this machine was the fact that there seemed to be more scatter symbol than regular playing symbols. This was alright with me and it seemed liked I was constantly playing a bonus game, which I really enjoyed. These many bonus games though meant that players could expect to potentially win a ton of huge prizes and this expectation was met for me. There were also a lot of betting options available. If you simply wanted to spin the reel to see the story play out, you could do so for a penny a spin. If you really wanted to gamble and potentially capitalize on some of these bonus games you could bet as much as 75 dollars per spin. This is really a game you have to play though to understand because the help screen, well, wasn't all that helpful.

The first scatter symbol offered on this slots machine was a picture of Ivan the fish. Basically, whenever three or more of these little guys appeared anywhere on the screen together, ten free games were automatically awarded. During these free games all prizes awarded were automatically tripled. This was one of a slew of great features but I really liked this one because the symbol was awesome, it was fairly easy to obtain, and by tripling the prizes you could really win a lot of money with this feature.

The second scatter symbol offered on this machine was very strait forward and simple. It simple allowed for the next scene in the soap opera to be unlocked. This symbol was simply an icon that said "advance to the next screen". Like I said, simple. To unlock the next scene a player simply had to obtain three of these symbols anywhere on the screen at once.

The first bonus game on this machine was known as the Tommy Wong Feature Act Bonus Round. Kind of a mouthful. Basically whenever three or more Tommy Wong icons were obtained anywhere on the screen together the bonus game was activated. During the bonus game players just had to choose the act that Tommy would play with and a prize was arbitrarily awarded. I thought that this was a little too simple of a bonus game for my liking and the prize awarded seemed to really have nothing to do with anything you did. But, it was pretty easy to obtain and Tommy Chung's symbol really sticks out on the screen.

The second bonus game offered on this machine was known as the Counterfeit Chip Bonus Round. This bonus game was activated whenever three or more bonus icons were obtained. They do stick out very nicely on the reels. You really can't miss them. During this bonus game players simply picked chips until they hit a "stop" chip. This ended the bonus game and all the prizes you had collected up until that point were awarded. I thought that this was very solid bonus game and if you went on a lucky streak you could really walk away with a lot of money.

Overall, this is a very original and exciting slots machine. I had a great time playing it myself and the story was actually kind of interesting and funny at times. I really appreciate when designers come out with original ideas because us slot players need a break every once in a while from the cookie cutter slots that designers seem to love making. I would recommend this slot to anyone who is looking for something new and that really likes bonus games.
