The scatter symbol in Red Sands Slots is called a moonscape symbol and is a picture of the nighttime outback. Whenever there are two or more scatter symbols on the screen at once winnings are awarded. Whenever two scatter symbols appear in the two left reels or the two right reels a respin feature is initiated. During the respin the two reels with the scatter symbol are held and the rest of the reels are respun up to ten times. During the respins only scatter prizes are awarded. The wild symbol can now serve as the scatter symbol and the winnings are double when this happens. This is a pretty complex bonus feature but I enjoyed it and it wasn't impossible to obtain like some other bonus features on other slots.

Overall I thought this was a very solid slot. I liked the layout and had some fun playing it. Though the bonus features were a little confusing, once I got the hang of it I did find it really exciting.
