Jackpot Piñatas Slots is a very good slot for what it is. The first thing I noticed about this slot was that fact that you can only bet one amount and only play a set amount of lines. Now if you want to pay five dollars a spin this is not a problem. Unfortunately this is a feature that most slot players demand. Jackpot Piñatas Slots does try to make up for this problem with a pretty cool bonus game and a variety of other features and it does an o.k. job at this.

Another thing I was not very thrilled about was the symbols. It does take a little bit of a learning curve and even then I still got confused from time to time. The symbols are all oriented around a Spanish fiesta and include, among other things, fireworks, a sexy senorita, limes, and a sombrero. The problem wasn't that it was hard to identify the symbols in a line, it was that I got confused as to which symbols were the big winners. This slot isn't all bad though, some of the features are unique and exciting.

The wild symbol in Jackpot Piñatas Slots is the picture of a donkey piñata. All the really important symbols in this game are piñatas of various animals. The donkey can be used as a substitute for any other symbol other than the bull and dog piñatas. I felt the wild symbol wasn't as important in Jackpot Piñatas Slots as it is in other slots. The designers put much more emphasis on the bonus game and the progressive jackpot.

Unlike many other progressive jackpots out there, which just hand out jackpots randomly at the end of spins, Jackpot Piñatas Slots actually has a bull piñata that is responsible for handing out the jackpot. Basically, you get extra winnings when two or more bulls appear in one line. If five bulls appear on one line then you've won the progressive jackpot. I like doing the progressive jackpot this way a lot more because you actually feel involved in the process.

Jackpot Piñatas Slots offers a bonus game that involves the use of a scatter symbol. The symbol is a picture of a dog piñata. If you get three of the dogs anywhere on the screen then you get to play a bonus game. The bonus game involves smashing open two, out of three, piñatas to reveal prizes that multiply your current winnings. The bonus game continues until you break open two piñatas and neither of them contains a rose. After the bonus game you are awarded 5, 10, 15, or 20 free games, depending on what you receive from the last round of piñata smashing. During the free games all winnings are doubled and extra bulls and donkeys are added to the reels. This is a really fun bonus game and was the most exciting part of playing this slot.

Overall, this isn't exactly my favorite slot. The bonus game is really fun and exciting but it doesn't overcome the fact that you can only bet one amount. This was really confusing to me. If the designers would just add that one feature this could be a really great slot. If you are planning on spending $5.00 a spin though, I would highly recommend this slot.
