Green Light Slots is one of the more complex slots machines out on the market today. I enjoyed it because it offered a lot of really cool bonuses and features. Green Light Slots tackles the racing theme and does a pretty nice job. The layout was pretty well done and everything was designed with the racing scene in mind. Though the game was fairly complex and had a lot of things going on, the designers at RTG made sure that they didn't add to the confusion by make the symbols difficult to identify. They included regular playing card symbols, nine through ace, and a variety of race inspired pictures that included, among others, a British race care, a bottle of champagne, and a race car trophy.

The graphics were also really well done. Green Light Slots included a bonus game that features racing cars and this ran very smooth. I didn't even have to wait for a loading screen to get to it. The sounds were average. They didn't have some rock music whenever you won with a wild symbol, but it was pretty horrible rock music. I also liked the fact that the designers at RTG gave players to option of playing on up to twenty different betting lines, giving players a great chance of winning on any given spin. There was also a progressive jackpot that was available though it didn't really impact the game because it was just handed out randomly at the end of spins.

Green Light Slots Wild Symbol

The wild symbol in Green Light Slots is the picture of a race care driver. This symbol could be used to substitute for any symbol in the game other than the scatter symbols. Whenever one of the drivers was used in a winning line the prize awarded was automatically doubled. This is my favorite way of doing the wild symbol because it is included on every reel and, by double the prize, really adds importance to it and gets players rooting for it.

The scatter symbol in this game is pretty unique. It's basically the picture of a white street light that turns either red or green when two or more appear on the screen at once. If it turns red then nothing happens, but if it turns green a scatter prize is awarded. I kind of liked this way of doing the scatter symbol. I liked it because it was a very original idea. I didn't really like it because it gets pretty frustrating when four of the street lights appear on the screen and then they all turn red. This is even more frustrating considering that when something like that happens you are also denied the bonus game.

Green Light Slots Bonus Game

The bonus game is initiated whenever three or more green lights appear on the screen at the same time. When this happens you are taken to a different screen and told to pick one of five race cars. The cars then race and players are awarded anywhere from 2 to 25 free games depending on what place you come in. If you come in first or second place you get to race again for a prize multiplier that ranges from 5 to 100 times the triggering bet, again depending on what place you finish in. During the ensuing free spins all prizes won are automatically doubled. This was a really fun and exciting bonus game. Unfortunately it was a really hard bonus game to achieve but I thought it was worth the wait.

Overall I really enjoyed playing this slot. It was simple enough to pick up and play but had enough detail and features to keep me interested and coming back for more. They struck a really nice balance between complexity and simplicity which is pretty hard to do. I would recommend this slot mainly for players of all experience levels just because this slot is worth the time for inexperienced players to learn.
