Cool Bananas Slots is a very well executed five reel, bonus feature slots machine. There really wasn't anything that I have seen many times before on other slot machine but I thought that the designers did all the right things necessary for to create a solid playing experience. The first thing I noticed about this machine were the symbols. I really liked the fact that all the symbols were really unique from one another and I never ran into any problems confusing the symbols with one another and I felt like the important symbols stood out very well both of which helped the game run more smoothly. The symbols included regular playing card symbols, nine through ace, and an assortment of banana associated symbols. The betting options were decent on this machine but I thought they were the low spot of the machine. The betting range was more than sufficient and players could spin the reels for as little as a penny or for as much as ninety dollars. There were only nine pay lines available for players to bet on which is something I really didn't agree with. I thought the designers would have been wise to have added more pay lines since there was a good amount of different symbols being used. The winning percentages were just a little too low for my likings.

The wild symbol offered on Cool Bananas Slots was a picture of a gorilla in a Hawaiian shirt. This symbol only appeared on reels two three and four and could be used to substitute for any symbol in the game other than the scatter symbol. I really wish that this symbol would have appeared on every reel as I really think the game need it to bring up the winning percentages due to the low amount of pay lines available. The designers did try to help the symbol have more of an impact though by also making it a prize multiplier which I really liked. Every time the wild symbol was used as part of a winning combination the prize awarded was automatically doubled.

A picture of, you guessed it, a banana served as the scatter symbol on Cool Bananas Slots. This symbol appeared on every reel and was used to award a prize whenever two or more appeared anywhere on the screen together. The more important role of this symbol though was that it was used to activate the bonus game. The bonus game was activated whenever three or more scatter symbol appeared anywhere on the screen together. When this happened players were taken to a different screen where you simply clicked a button and watched as a gorilla tried to accomplish various task. I wasn't too crazy about this bonus game because I felt like it was just way to simple and the player really played no part in whether the gorilla succeeded or failed which made it very boring. I did like the fact that it was pretty easy to obtain though.

Overall, I thought this was a solid slots machine but nothing special. I think that they designers really need to consider redoing some aspects of the betting options and consider revamping the bonus game to put the player in the driver seat. I still had fun playing this machine though and I thought that the designers did enough things right to provide for a pretty entertaining gaming experience.
