What On Earth Slots is first and foremost, a really complex slots machine. I have to admit it took me a good while before I had a firm grasp of all the different features this machine offered. This slot offers a wild symbol, three scatter symbols, and two bonus games. Before we get into all the bonus features and special symbols though, I feel like it's necessary to go over the basics. What On Earth Slots is a five reel slots machine that offers players the ability to bet on up to 9 different pay lines on any given spin. This really isn't all that great for a machine this complex and I really though that fifteen would have been more appropriate. That would have made some of the bonus features easier to obtain. I did like the betting options available though. Players could spin the reel for as little as a penny or for as much as 45 dollars. The sounds were alright on this machine but I thought that the background noise got a little annoying after extended play and I eventually had to turn it off. The graphics were very smooth and this could be seen obviously in the bonus games. The symbols weren't all that great though. There was just too many of them and I felt that the special symbols didn't stand out enough.

What On Earth Slots Wild Symbol

I really didn't think that the wild symbol was all that great on this machine. The reason being, it could only be used to substitute for two symbols in the game, the port hole and the console symbols. This really limited its importance and really in my opinion made it somewhat of a non factor. The symbol was an icon that simple said "what on earth" in green letters. I've never seen a wild symbol done like that and personally I hope I never see it again. I just really didn't understand while they just didn't make it possible for the wild symbol to substitute for all the regular symbols in the game. That would have made a lot more sense to me.

There was only one scatter symbol on What On Earth Slots that appeared on ever reel and wasn't associated with a bonus game. This was the red rocket symbol. Basically, this symbol awarded a prize whenever three or more appeared anywhere on the screen together. This was a very basic and simple scatter symbol. Usually, I would have thought that this was too simple of a symbol but with all the other things they had already included on this machine I thought that leaving it at this was alright.

What On Earth Slots Bonus Game One

The first bonus game offered on What On Earth Slots was know as the Beam ‘Em Up Bonus Game. This was activated whenever three saucer or three shuttle symbols appeared on adjacent reels. These symbols only appeared on reels two, three, or four and didn't have to appear on a pay line to activate the bonus game. When this bonus game was activated players had to choose an alien to beam up a earthling that contains a prize multipliers. From this bonus game the Beam ‘Em Up Contest Bonus Game could be activated if the alien beamed up a contest invitation. When this happened your alien competed with other aliens to beam up the most earthlings possible before the time ran out. The more earthlings beamed up the larger the prize awarded. If you alien beamed up a globe symbol then the "Destination Bonus Game" was activated. During this bonus game you choose a city and the alien you choose beams up a prize multipliers. I really didn't get what the difference was between this and the initial bonus game. Maybe the destination bonus game was supposed to award larger prizes. I thought these were pretty solids bonus games that actually offered some pretty big prizes. The only problems I had with it was that it was a little hard to obtain and players weren't really in control of the prize they were awarded. Also, there just wasn't a big enough difference between the beam ‘em up bonus game and the destination bonus game.

Overall, I thought this was just an alright slots machine. The features just weren't done well enough for me to call this a great slots machine. They tried to get by with just adding a lot of features and thinking that this would produce a great machine. They were wrong. Making a great slots machine isn't about loading it up with a ton of features but rather just executing the features you include well. They failed to do this and thusly failed to produce a great slots machine.
