The Grand Circus Slots
The first thing I noticed about this machine, unfortunately, were the absolutely horrible sounds. Seriously, Grand Circus Slots quite possibly sports some of the most annoying sounds I have ever heard on a slots machine. If it were not for the mute button I think I may have lost my mind trying to write this review. I would suggest plugging your ears and hitting the mute button before even sampling the sounds. Just take my word for it. Luckily, though, things did get better for this machine. There were some really great betting options available on this machine. Players could bet on up to twenty different pay lines on any given spin. This really increased players chances of winning on every spin. Players could also choose to spin the reels for as little as a penny or for as much as 200 dollars. This is an absolutely amazing betting range and should serve to make this an attractive option to players of all different bank rolls. I didn't like the symbols for one reason. That reason was that it was just too hard to keep track of what the scatter symbols were. This really served to make the game less exciting because you didn't know when you were on the verge of a win until the bottom ticker told you.
The Grand Circus Scatter Symbols
Grand Circus Slots sported an amazing three different scatter symbols. The grand master symbol and the ring master symbol were pretty much the same thing. These symbols served as both scatter and regular symbols and awarded both if the case warranted. If either of these scatter symbols appeared on the first three reels than a multiple of the prize was awarded in accordance with the scatter payout schedule. They could also be used in combination with each other to award prizes if they appeared left to right. I thought this was a pretty original idea for a scatter symbol but it was incredibly confusing and cumbersome to get the hang of. It literally took me a good half an hour of playing before I really had it down. The other scatter symbol, the circus symbol, was used to award both a bonus game and free spins. If you obtained three of these symbols anywhere on the screen together a prize was automatically awarded but if you obtained these three symbols on the first three reels then either the bonus game was awarded or twenty free spins were awarded. During these free spins this scatter symbol used to activate was worth much more. This was an ok free spin feature but it was really difficult to obtain
The Grand Circus Bonus Game
The bonus game was activated whenever three or more circus scatter symbols appeared left to right starting with the first reel. When this happened either a free spin bonus was awarded or the pick a bear bonus game was activated. If the pick a bear bonus game was awarded then players were taken to a special screen and told to choose three of six bears on a tight rope. These bears awarded random bonus prizes. I thought this was an ok bonus game but like the bonus spins it was just way to hard to obtain. By making the bonus game really hard to obtain it prevents them from really making the game more exciting and fun.
Overall, I wasn't too impressed with this slots machine. The features offered were just way to confusing. You shouldn't have to play a slots machine for over a half an hour just to get the hang of the special features being offered. I give a machine a ten minute learning curve. Anything longer than this is just way to long and will discourage a lot of players. I would only suggest this machine to any player who doesn't mind sitting down and trying to figure out a feature for a long time. If you don't have patient, this is not the machine for you.
