Monster Mania Slots is a pretty strait forward and very simple five reel slots machine. There really wasn't anything all that special about this machine and I didn't really think they performed the special features they did decide to include very well. This was still a very user-friendly machine though. This aspect of the machine was facilitated the most by the symbols. They were very simple and I never had any problem confusing the different symbols together or identifying the important symbols immediately. This is a really important aspect of a slots machine because it really helps the game play much smoother and has the effect of really helping the excitement factor. The graphics were solid on this machine and I appreciated the fact that there weren't any glitches or prolonged loading screens once the game play was underway. The sounds were very average and I really didn't think they impacted the game in any significant way. I also thought that the betting options were just average. Players had the ability to bet on up to nine different pay lines on any given spin. This is decent but I thought with the lack of really engaging bonus features they could have added more pay lines to facilitate more wins and add more excitement. The betting range also wasn't that great. Players could spin the reel for as little as a quarter or for as much as 18 dollars. This isn't really a bad range but it could have been done much better.

The wild symbol on Monster Mania Slots is a picture of a monster with the word "wild" in its mouth. This symbol appeared on every reel and could be used to substitute for any symbol in the game other than the scatter symbol. I really only liked one thing about this wild symbol and that was the icon itself. I thought it was very easy to identify and this really helped the excitement factor of the symbol. Unfortunately though, that was the only thing I was impressed with. I just didn't like the fact that there was nothing else included with the symbol especially when considering how few special features there were offered. They could have easily added a prize multiplier or some other special feature to this symbol that really would have made it something worth rooting for.

A picture of brain, with the word "scatter brain" around it serves as the scatter symbol for Monster Mania Slots. This symbol appears on every reel and awards a prize whenever three or more appear anywhere on the screen together. I had the same dislikes and likes for this symbol as I did for the wild symbol. The symbol was very easy to identify and I you knew right away when you were starting to rack up the scatter symbols. Unfortunately there just wasn't any feature associated with this symbol that got me excited about it. A bonus feature should be constructed in a way that you start rooting for the symbol and this just didn't happen on this machine.

Overall, I thought this slots machine was just a little too bland for my likings. There was just really no reason that the designers gave to get excited about playing this machine. It wasn't an issue of offering too few features but they just didn't execute the features they did add well enough. They could have added just a few little intricacies to each feature to make the game actually worth playing and worth coming back to. They didn't do this and this is why I wouldn't recommend this machine to anyone.
