I suppose it's something German. Either way, I thought this was a pretty solid five slots machine. This isn't exactly the most original slots machine I have ever played but I did think the designers tried to incorporate their own little twists to the various features they decided to include on this machine. The first thing I noticed about this machine were the betting options. I loved the fact that the designers decided to included fifteen different pay lines for players to bet on because it really served to provide a winning percentage that assured constant winning action. The betting was also quite large as players could spin the reels for as little as a dollar or for as much as 75 dollars. This is a pretty big range that was primarily tailored for those players with larger bank rolls. This Slots machine also offered a gamble feature that became available after any winning spin. After a win you simply just pressed the gamble feature where you had to guess either the color or the suit of the next card to be flipped over. If you guessed the color right your winnings were doubled and if you guessed the suit correctly your winnings were quadrupled. Of course, if you guessed incorrectly for either all you winnings for that spin were automatically lost.

What looked to be a family crest served as the wild symbol on Oktober Fest Slots. This symbol appeared on every reel and could be used to substitute for any symbol in the game other than the scatter and bonus symbols. I personally was not too excited about this wild symbol. I really thought the designers would have been wise to have included another dimension to this symbol to really make it stand out. The addition of something like a prize multiplier really would have given players a reason to get excited about this symbol and really root for it.

The designers really had a pretty interesting way of doing the scatter symbol on this slots machine. This symbol itself was a picture of a symbol that I couldn't really describe. I can tell you that it's gold red and green. This symbol appeared on every reel and was used to award a prize whenever three or more appeared anywhere on the screen together at the same time. Where things got interesting is in how many bonus spins it awarded whenever two or more appeared anywhere on the screen together. When this happened one free spin was awarded. I really wasn't too crazy about how this was done because it essentially led to less free spins while feeling like you were receiving more. This was cool for a short while until you caught onto this fact.

The bonus symbol offered on Oktober Fest Slots was a picture of a wooden barrel of beer with a tap on it. This symbol appeared on every reel and was only used to activate the bonus game. The bonus game was activated whenever three or more bonus symbols appeared anywhere on the screen together. When this happened players were taken to a different screen where you had to buy drinks for your buddy. You were awarded a prize for every beer you bought him and the game ended when you either bought him five beers or he passed out. This was a really awesome concept for a bonus game and I really enjoyed playing it because it was just fun to see the guy pass out.

Overall, I thought this was a very solid slots machine. I loved the fact that the designers tried to step outside of the box a little bit. Sometimes they succeeded and sometimes they failed but at least they tried. I personally would recommend playing this game just for the bonus game alone because it was one of the cooler bonus games I have every played and usually led to some big prizes.
