Lucky Dragon Mahjong Slots is probably one of the most confusing slot machines I have ever played. I seriously felt like I was trying to learn a different language when trying to understand how this game worked. Most of this confusion probably stemmed from the symbols that were used. All the symbols in the game were traditional Mahjong symbols. This was a problem because all of them look very similar to one another and to create a winning line you didn't match up the same symbols but rather the same group of symbols. This pretty much meant that I would have never knew that I had won a prize if it weren't for the game telling me so. This game did offer one little nice feature though that I liked in the gamble symbols. This symbol became available after any winning spin by simply pressing the gamble button. This took you to a different screen where you had to either guess among two direction symbols or four wind symbols. If you guessed the direction correctly your prize was automatically doubled and if you guessed the wind correctly your prize was automatically quadrupled. Of course if you guessed either wrongly then you automatically forfeited your prizes for the spin. Another cool feature was that both the season and flow symbols both served as prize multipliers. Whenever one of these symbols appeared on the screen at the same time that a winning combination appeared then the prize was automatically doubled. The more of these symbols that appeared the more times the prize was doubled.

The scatter symbol offered on Lucky Dragon Mahjong Slots were the flower symbols. These symbols appeared on every reel and were used solely to award a free spin. Whenever two or more appeared then a single free spin was awarded. If three or four appeared then one free spin was awarded along with a separate prize. I thought this was very simple and I kind of liked it actually because you were being given free spins constantly. It probably didn't work out to as many free spins that are offered on other slots machine but it did feel like a lot more which made the game more exciting and thusly more engaging.

The bonus game offered on this machine was activated whenever three or more bonus symbols appeared anywhere on the screen together at the same time. The bonus symbols themselves were the four different season symbols. I really didn't like the symbols themselves because like all the other symbols in the game they were very hard to identify amongst the other symbols. When the bonus game was activated players were taken to a separate screen where they had to choose eight out of the 28 available symbols. The goal of the game was to get as many of the same symbol as possible. This was a pretty strait forward bonus game but it did have the potential to really award a huge prize which is the most important aspect of a bonus game in my opinion. Unfortunately I thought it was a little too hard to obtain so it didn't have a very large impact on the overall game play.

Overall, I thought this was a pretty poor slots machine in my opinion. The game was simply just too confusing to enjoy. I couldn't grasp which symbols were which and which symbols did what. This made for a very disengaged game experience since I really didn't ever know exactly what was going on. I would only suggest this machine if you were already very comfortable and familiar with these symbols. This way you might be able to know what is going on and the game would probably be a lot more fun.
