Go For The Gold Slots

Go For The Gold Slots is a slots machine that offers a lot of different bonus features on top of a pretty simple and strait forward design. The features that were included on this machine were very traditional and I think that most players will be very familiar as they are used on a large variety of slots machine. Usually designers try to put their own little twist on these features but on this machine the features were kept very basic but I still thought they were executed fairly well. The first thing I noticed about this machine were the symbols. They were very basic in design but I thought they were effective because I never got any of them confused with one another and the important symbols really stood out in my opinion. There was also a gamble feature offered on this machine that was activated after any winning spin by simply pressing the gamble button. When this happened you were taken to a different screen where you had to guess either the color or the suit of the next card to be flipped over. If you guessed the color correctly the prize awarded was automatically doubled and if you correctly guessed the suit then the prize was quadrupled. If you guessed incorrectly though then you automatically lost all your winnings for that spin.

Go For The Gold Slots Wild Symbol

The wild symbol offered on Go For The Gold Slots was a picture of a gold medal with the number one on it. This symbol appeared on every reel and could be used to substitute for any symbol in the game other than the scatter and bonus symbol. I liked the fact that this symbol appeared on every reel because it did help raise the overall winning percentages which led to more consistent winning action. My favorite part about this symbol though was the fact that it was also a prize multiplier. Whenever this symbol was used as part of a winning combination the prize awarded was automatically doubled. This really gave players great incentive to root for this symbol and to really get excited about it.

Go For The Gold Slots Scatter Symbol And Bonus Feature

A picture of a bronze medal that said the number three on it served as the scatter symbol on Go For The Gold Slots. This symbol appeared on every reel and was used to award a prize whenever two or more appeared anywhere on the screen together at the same time. It was also used to activate a free spin bonus feature. If three scatter symbols appeared on the screen then ten free spins were awarded, if four appeared then fifteen free spins were awarded, and if five appeared then twenty free spins were awarded. During these free spins all prizes were automatically doubled. I thought this was a great feature because it was pretty easy to obtain and by doubling the prizes you really had the opportunity to rack up some pretty big prizes.

Go For The Gold Slots Bonus Game

Go For The Gold Slots Bonus Game

The bonus game offered on Go For The Gold Slots was activated whenever three or more bonus symbols appeared on the screen together. The bonus symbols itself was a silver medal with the number two on it. This symbol appeared on every reel and its sole purpose was to activate the bonus game. When the bonus game was activated you simply clicked on three of the symbols on the screen to be awarded a random prize. This was an incredibly simple bonus game as you weren't even taken to a different screen to play it. I really wasn't too crazy about this game as I thought the designers kind of just got lazy with it and could have spent a lot more time making it a lot cooler.

Overall, I thought this was a very solid slots machine but nothing great. This slots machine could have been great had the designers spent more time developing the bonus game as I thought the other two features being offered were executed very well. This just goes to show that one poorly developed feature can really drag an entire game down into averageness.
