Film Noir Slots is in my opinion just a very boring slots machine. I really didn't ever get excited about this machine why I was playing. I am all for keeping things simple but I thought that the designers took things a little overboard on this machine. There really wasn't anything on this machine that stood out to me as being really well done. I need at least a few features to be offered on my the machines I play as to prevent things from getting boring and repetitive. I thought this game got boring and repetitive after about thirty seconds. This was due in large part to the symbols. I just didn't think there were enough of them and I got tired very quickly of seeing the same old symbols go by time and time again. The one good thing I can say about this machine is that they did do a pretty decent job of bringing the theme to life. This gave the game a cool feel to it but there just wasn't any substance offered with the feel. The sounds were also completely out of place and I had to use the mute button as to avoid this annoyance.

I thought the betting options were good in some ways and could have been made better in others. The betting range was decent as players could spin the reels for as little as a quarter or for as much as fifteen dollars. I thought the maximum bet was sufficient and the only thing I would have done differently with this is make the minimum bet a penny as I think this attracts more players to machines this simple. My biggest problem with the betting options was that there was only one pay line offered. This would have been okay if there weren't so many symbols being included but with the number that were included on this machine I just didn't think one pay line got the job done.
Overall I thought this game simply didn't bring enough gusto to the table to be seriously considered entertaining. I really only think this slots machine is good if you're just looking to play for a few minutes to pick up a few bucks. The good thing I guess about this slots machine is that you couldn't really lose too much money on this machine but that also there really wasn't room for big wins either.
