At first this may be confusing and a little overwhelming but once you get the hang of everything it really does provide for a pretty exciting play. This slot really didn't offer a lot of variety as far as the symbols were concerned but I really didn't think this was too big of a deal because of all the other things that were going on. The graphics weren't all that great either but they were good enough to assure that there were not glitches in the game play and I never ran into any additional loading screens. The sounds on this machine were just down right horrible and I would suggest just using the mute button and forgoing giving them a chance. There was only one bet that could be made on this machine as well, a dollar. This really limited the type of player that could play this machine and if you wanted to bet a different amount you essentially had to load a completely different game.

There were a ton of different little bonus features that really kept the action going throughout the entire game. The first of these additions that we'll cover were the nudge and hold features. These features were activated randomly at the end of a losing spin. The nudge feature allowed players to move individual reels down a notch up to four times in an attempt to create a winning combination. The nudge feature allows players to hold one or more reels in place while the other reels spin again. I found both of these features to be effective because they offered excitement and hope to the game even when you lost. A hi/lo side game was also included on this machine. At the conclusion of any win you could choose to guess whether you thought the next number presented on the screen was going to be higher or lower than the number that was currently showing. If you guessed correctly you were moved up a notch on the prize ladder or you could opt to go to the features board game. The prize ladder was a meter to the right of the screen that was filled by winning hi/lo games. You could redeem the amount stated at any time during normal game play by pressing the collect button or you could play the stated mini game by pressing exchange during the feature board portion of the game. I liked this feature but you really had to be disciplined while playing as to not risk away all your winnings.

The scatter symbol on Super Sideshow $1.00 Slots was an icon of a clown's face that appeared randomly on the upper right hand corner of symbols. This icons sole purpose was to activate the feature boards portion of the game. The sideshow feature board was activated whenever three or more scatter symbols appeared anywhere on the board together or when you won a hi/lo game and pressed the exchange button. The super sideshow feature board was activated whenever you obtained three scatter symbols on the pay line or when you acquired three super sideshow symbols on the sideshow feature board. During the feature board portion of the game you pressed start to advance around the board and at each stop you could either collect the prize stated on the board, you could move again, you could play a game of hi/lo, or you could play the side game dictated by the prize ladder. I thought this was a really cool bonus game because it was incredibly easy to obtain so you were constantly playing the bonus game which to me means more excitement. It could also lead to some very nice prizes if you played your cards right.

Overall, I thought this was a pretty solid slot machine. The designers really didn't do a very good job with the basic things, such as the symbols or the betting options, but I thought that the various bonus features and the bonus games really made up for this. I would suggest this to any play that is looking for a little bit of a challenge.
