I thought that Magic Carpet Slots was a pretty simple and strait forward slots machine. For me, the game failed to execute the features it included well enough. This led to a machine that wasn't as fun as it could have, or should have been. The first thing I noticed about this machine were the symbols, and this wasn't a positive. I just thought that there were too many of them. It's o.k. to add a lot of symbols to your machine just as long as you provide some sort of method to keep in order which ones are the important ones. Magic Carpet Slots failed to do this. I even had trouble quickly identifying the wild and scatter symbols. This really detracted from the excitement this game could have provided. The betting options were decent on this machine but they were not great. I thought they could have improved the game by making the minimum required bet a penny instead of a dime. This would have made it a much better option for players with really small bank rolls. I liked the fact that they included nine different pay lines that players could bet on but this could have even been better especially considering the fact that some of the bonus features were rather difficult to obtain.

The wild symbol on Magic Carpet Slots was a picture of a genie. This symbol only appeared on reels two, three, and four and could be used to substitute for any symbol in the game other than the scatter symbol. I thought that this symbol failed in two respects. For starters, I didn't understand why the designers didn't just include this symbol on every reel. This would have made a more prominent feature and the game and would have lead to more wins. Secondly, this was just to simple and by not adding anything else to it, such as a prize multiplier, it was even more of a non factor.

Magic Carpet Ride Slots Scatter Symbol And Bonus Features

A picture of a magic carpet served as the bonus feature for Magic Carpet Ride Slots. This symbol appeared on every reel and awarded a prize whenever two or more of them appeared anywhere on the reels together. The real importance of this symbol was obvious, though, whenever three or more symbols appeared left to right or right to left beginning with the first or fifth reel. When this happened anywhere from five to fifteen free spins were awarded depending on how many scatter symbols were obtained at once. During the free spins all the prizes were automatically tripled. I though this was a pretty good bonus feature but felt like it was a little to hard to obtain. Obtain three symbols on consecutive reels, starting with the first or last reel, is a lot harder than it sounds. This made the scatter symbol less of a factor as it could have been.

Overall, I think the designers just fell short with a few of the features on this machine. They had a pretty good basic layout and design but failed to execute in other areas. I though they could have easily improved both the wild and scatter symbols. This would have made the game more exciting and engaging.
