The designers very effectively brought the theme to live mainly through the visual graphics and the sound effects that were included. The basic layout and the symbols all very effectively embodied the feel of the comic which made the machine much more engaging. There were a lot of symbols included on this machine but I didn't think this was too big of a problem, as it sometimes can be, because most players are going to already recognize many of the characters and objects that are used as symbols. The sounds were effective on this machine because they all stayed true to the theme thusly helping to further bring it to life. The betting options were decent on this machine but nothing special. Players could bet on up to nine different pay lines before any given spin which I thought was a little low especially when considering how many symbols were included on this machine. The betting range should meet the bank roll requirements of most players as the reels could be spun for as little as a nickel or for as much as 45 dollars. Daredevil Slots also included three different progressive jackpots: the hero jackpot, the superhero jackpot, and the Marvel hero jackpot. These various progressive jackpots were essentially identical other than they awarded different sized prizes. The hero jackpot awarded the jackpot worth the least amount while the Marvel hero jackpot awarded the largest. These progressive jackpots were awarded at random at the conclusion of any paid spin and the more money you spent the better that your chances of winning were.

This symbol only appeared on reels two and four and could be used to substitute for any symbol in the game other than the scatter symbol. The best part about this symbol was the fact that whenever it was used as part of a winning combination the prize was automatically doubled. I usually prefer that my wild symbols appear on all reels but I thought that the designers effectively made up for this by also making it a prize multiplier. This really provided incentive for players to root for and get excited about this symbol.

Daredevil Slots Scatter Symbol And Bonus Game

The scatter symbol on Daredevil Slots was a picture of the daredevil crouching down with the word "daredevil" above him. This symbol appeared one every reel and was used to award a prize whenever two or more appeared anywhere on the screen together at the same time. The scatter symbol was also used to activate the bonus game offered on this machine. The bonus game was activated whenever three or more scatter symbols appeared anywhere on the screen together. When this happened all the symbols on the screen darkened and you essentially had to make selections out of this group until three of the same villains were revealed. Once this happened a prize was awarded. I wasn't too crazy about the bonus game itself, because I thought it was a little too simple, but I did like the fact that it was pretty easy to obtain and usually led to a pretty nice prize.

Overall, I thought this was a fairly well executed slot machine but I just didn't think the bonus features were done well enough. They didn't bring enough excitement to the table to keep me interested and engaged for extended periods of times. I would recommend this machine to anyone who is a fan of the comic or more as the theme is very well executed.
