Blade is fairly simple and strait forward slot machine as far as the bonus feature and special symbols offered are concerned. The visual graphics on this machine, though, were far from and simple and did a very effective job at bringing the popular Marvel comic theme to life. There were a lot of symbols that were included on this machine which is something I usually am not a big fan of. I thought that it worked on this machine because a majority of the people who play this machine will be fans of the comic or movie and will appreciate the extra references the multitude of symbols can provide. The sounds on this machine were actually quite impressive and I really thought that they made a solid contribution in developing the theme. The betting options offered on Blade Slots were adequate but nothing spectacular. I really thought that the machine could have used more than just nine pay lines due to the large amount of symbols being used. Without these additional pay lines the winning percentages just weren't high enough to provide enough consistent excitement. The betting range should meet the needs of players of both large and small bank rolls as the reels can be spun for as little as a nickel or for as much as 45 dollars. Blade Slots also offered three different progressive jackpots: the hero jackpot, the superhero jackpot, and the Marvel jackpot. The jackpots were awarded randomly at the end of a paid spin and the more a player bet the better that their chances of winning were.

Blade Slots Wild Symbol

The wild symbol on Blade Slots was a picture of Blade's face. This symbol appeared on every reel and could be used to substitute for any symbol in the game other than the scatter symbol. This symbol was also used as a part required to activate the bonus feature offered on this machine. I though that this was a pretty well done wild symbol. The fact that it appeared on every reel really helped to improve the winning percentages and it's participation in the activation of the bonus feature really gave players a reason to root for it.

Blade Slots Scatter Symbol And Bonus Feature

A picture of a vampire's head served as the scatter symbol on Blade Slots. This symbol appeared on every reel and was used, in part, to award a prize whenever two or more appeared anywhere on the screen together at the same time. It was also used as a part required to activate the bonus feature. Five bonus spins were awarded whenever scatter symbol appeared on both reels one and five and the wild symbol appeared on reel three. During these five free games all the symbols on the third reel and all the vampire symbols were replaced by blade symbols. This was done in an attempt to increase you chances of winning during the bonus game. I wasn't too crazy about this bonus feature. I thought that it needed to either include more free spins or offer a prize multiplier to really make it something that provided a lot of excitement to the machine.

Overall, this slots machine just didn't do it for me. I didn't think that the designers provided any real reason for player get excited about playing this machine. The features and special symbols just feel short in provided the amount of fun that they are capable of providing which led to a machine that just lacked a lot of flair. I would suggest this machine to players who are a fan of either the comic or the movie as the theme is executed very well this machine.
