To me, this led to a game that was kind of stale and that really lacked any kind of originality or innovation. One of those being the betting options. There were fifteen different pay lines that players could bet on which really served to raise the overall winning percentages to a live that provided nearly constant winning action. This really helped the game's excitement level as slot machines are usually a lot more fun when you winning more often than losing, no matter how small the victory is. The betting range was also huge on this machine as the reels could be spun for as little as a penny or for as much as 125 dollars. Jungle Jim Slots also offered a jackpot feature that was activated whenever three or more jackpot symbols appeared on an active pay line from left to right. When this happened players were taken to a different screen where they had to choose one of three different objects to win either the jackpot, the super jackpot, or the grand jackpot. These jackpots weren't as big as your common progressive jackpots but they were much easier to obtain and thusly seemed like more effective.

The wild symbol offered on Jungle Jim Slots was a picture of a tiger with the word "wild" beneath it. This symbol appeared on every reel and could be used to substitute for any symbol in the game other than the scatter, jackpot, or bonus symbols. I really wasn't too impressed with this symbol. I thought that it needed the addition of some other feature so that it could really have an impact on the game. To me it really just seemed like a side note that didn't provide all that much excitement.

The scatter symbol included on Jungle Jim Slots was only included to award free spins. The symbol itself was a picture of Jungle Jim Himself. This symbol appeared on every reel and activated a free spin bonus feature whenever three or more appeared anywhere on the screen together at the same time. If three scatter symbols appeared then ten free spins were awarded, if four appeared then 25 free spins were awarded, and if five appeared then 100 free spins were awarded. Though it was very unlikely that you would ever get a 100 free spins it did happen quite often that you received ten free spins and this was like free many in a way, which is a good thing right?

The bonus game offered on Jungle Jim Slots was activated by a point system rather than a combination of symbols. You essentially needed 500 points to activate the bonus game and you received points whenever a bonus symbol appeared on the screen. The amount of points you were awarded was directly related to the total bet you made. So if you bet 150 and a bonus symbol appeared on this spin you were awarded 150 bonus points. Once the bonus game was activated you were taken to a different screen where you had to choose one of two paths for Jungle Jim to try and cross so that he could reach the treasure chest. The further along the path that he made it the more money you were awarded. This was a short and very simple bonus game which was solid but not great. I wish they would have involved some kind of user skill to mandate the prize.

Overall, I thought this was a decent slots machine. There were definitely some areas where the designers could have done much better. I also would have probably liked this machine much more if some of the features they had included would have been a little bit more original. I think that if the wild symbol and the bonus game is just tweaked a little then this could be a very solid slots machine.
