Flower Power Slots embodied one very groovy theme. The designers really did a nice job of making the sixties come to life on this five reel slots machine. The first thing I noticed about this slots were the symbols that were used. I loved the fact that they were all very theme oriented which really helped bring the theme to life. They were also very unique from one another which meant that I never ran into any problems confusing the symbols with one another. Yet, another thing I liked about this symbols was that the important symbols really stood out very nicely which really helped to facilitate the excitement of the game because you knew when you were one the verge of a bonus feature or a big win. The sound effects, as they should have been, were also very well done. There were a lot of groovy bass lines and jiving guitars that really reminded me of the sixties. For once I turned the volume up rather than muting it.

This symbol appeared one very reel and could be used to substitute for any symbol other than the scatter and bonus symbols. I really wasn't too crazy about this wild symbol. I really didn't think it had a very big impact on the overall game play and it really seemed more like a foot note while I was playing. The designers should think about including some other feature such as a prize multiplier to help this symbol have a bigger impact.

This symbol only appeared on reels one and five and was only used to activate a free spin bonus feature. Whenever this symbol appeared on both reels one and five fifteen free spins were automatically awarded. I really liked this feature because it was really easy to obtain for fifteen free games. You can really rack up some big winnings during this time.

The bonus game offered on Flower Power Slots was activated whenever three or more bonus symbols appeared anywhere on the screen together at the same time. The bonus symbol itself was a picture of a symbol that said "Far Out Fashion Bonus". This symbol appeared on every reel and was only used to activate the bonus game. When the bonus game was activated players were taken to a different screen where you basically had to dress a model. You put on three different articles of clothing and were awarded a random each prize for piece. I would have liked for this bonus game to actually have required some skill but I thought it was still pretty effective because it was easily obtained and it offered up some decent prizes.

Overall, I thought this was a solid slots machine. I really loved how the designers executed the theme on this machine. There were some areas where the game could have been greatly improved, such as the wild symbol, but I thought that the designers did enough things right to provide for a very enjoyable playing experience.
